Bethlehem University of the Holy Land is a Catholic Christian co-educational institution of higher learning founded in 1973 in the Lasallian tradition, open to students of all faith traditions. Bethlehem University, the first university established in the West Bank, and can trace its roots to 1893 (Click HERE to read about the origin of the House of the Child Jesus) when the De La Salle Christian Brothers opened schools in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Jaffa, Nazareth, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt.

Bethlehem University Admission

Criteria for admission to Bethlehem University for new students

Admission to the university is based on the following criteria:

  • High School GPA (Tawjihi) or its equivalent from other certificates (GCE, SAT, IB, ABITUR, Begout)    
  • English language exam (specializations of the Faculty of Nursing) 
  • The result of the personal interview (specializations of the College of Nursing and the Institute of Hotel Management)

Important Notes:

  1. Nursing Qubeiba Branch: Students wishing to enroll in the Nursing Program, Qubeiba Branch – Ramallah, which will study at the College of Nursing, Qubeiba Branch – Ramallah, must purchase applications for admission in the period between 06/28/2022 to 07/14/2022 , and then submit their applications Filled with all required documents and a bank receipt to Mr. Osama Zahran / Al Qubeiba – Ramallah, no later than 15/07/2022, during the working hours of the branch, on Mondays until Fridays, from eight in the morning until four in the afternoon, phone number of the College of Nursing/Al Qubeiba branch – Ram God 0597832650 or 2473863.
  2. Students applying and holding a certificate equivalent to high school (SAT, GCE, IB, ABITUR) or any other certificate must obtain an equivalency from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education before submitting it to the university.
  3. Applicants who have obtained a matriculation certificate (in 2022 and before) must bring a delivery of the matriculation transcript translated into Arabic from a certified translator, and certify the translated document from:
    1. Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs
    2. Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (General Directorate of Consular Affairs)
    3. Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
