Azerbaijan Technological University Admission Requirements
Undergraduate Admission Requirements:
There are currently 3 types of scholarships at Azerbaijan University of Technology
DS (state order) scholarship* Meat (additional scholarship)
RT (rector’s scholarship)
All of the above types of scholarships (with the exception of the DS scholarship in the 1st semester of the 1st year) are awarded to the student with the highest overall average, taking into account the current assessment after each semester. That is, even if a student studies on a paid basis, he still has the opportunity to receive a scholarship.

In the competition for the 1st group, applicants with a total score of 200 points for admission to the following specialties can participate, and in the 2nd stage of the entrance exam (block exam) – more than 100 points.
Master’s Admission Requirements:
Admission is regulated by the “rules for admission to master’s programs of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 2017, 8 No. 40. According to the rules, bachelors and other persons with higher education have the right to be admitted to the magistracy level.
At the entrance exam to the master’s level, the level of logical thinking, computer science and knowledge of a foreign language of bachelors is checked by the test method. In the exam, bachelors are presented 50 test tasks on logical thinking, 25 on a foreign language and 25 on Computer Science. The last 5 questions on each block consist of open-form test tasks. 3 hours are allotted for answering exam questions. Each correct answer of bachelors is assessed by one point.
Bachelors whose score in the entrance exam for the competition meets the conditions established by the SEC are admitted.
Bachelors enter their chosen specialization in their desired order in their electronic application form on the specified date, indicate and confirm that they want to study for each specialization on the basis of state order or on a paid basis.
Doctorate Admission Requirements:
The following documents are submitted for admission to doctoral studies:
- application (in the name of the head of the institution or organization in which the doctoral studies operate);
- personal-registration sheet of personnel;
- biography;-2 photos (3×4 CM);
- certificate from the place of work;
- extract from the work book for those with seniority;
- list of published scientific works or abstract on selected specialty;
- duly certified copy of diploma on graduation from higher education institution (certificate of recognition of documents on education for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who studied abroad);
- a copy of the identity document.
