Al Yamamah University Enrollment

TEP 1:  Fill-in the application form;

STEP 2: Submit (scan) the following documents:

  • A copy of the original college certificate/diploma
  • A copy of the original college transcript of records/student academic records
  • English Proficiency Scores: TOEFL, IELTS
  • A copy of the national ID or Iqama
  • An updated curriculum vitae (CV)

STEP 3: The Graduate Admission Office will review all applications. Acceptance letters will be sent to applicants who have been admitted into the graduate programs.

STEP 4: After receiving the acceptance letter, you need to visit Al Yamamah University campus and pay the registration fees to reserve your seat, get your student ID card, and Al Yamamah University email account.

Undergraduate Admission

Admission terms and conditions

  • The applicant must have a high school certificate or its equivalent.
  • The secondary certificate from outside the Kingdom must be authenticated by the Saudi Ministry of Education.
  • The applicant must submit Qiyas or SAT 1 test result
  • The applicant must pass the admission test and the personal interview.
  • The applicant should be of good conduct and behavior.

All applicants for admission are required to have the followings:

  1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 1.75/4.0 or 2.75/5.0.
  2. Applicants earned their Bachelor’s degrees from a country where English is not the official language must satisfy, at least, one of the following English proficiency tests (not older than three years from the admission date):
    • TOEFL iBT = 65 or above
    • IELTS = 5.5 or above with a minimum score of 5.0 in all parts
    • Al Yamamah University’s English Placement Test (EPS) = L7 or above
  1. Updated curriculum vitae (CV)
  2. Applicants with non- business backgrounds may be required to complete one or two of the Pre-Grad courses (foundation courses).

EMBA Admission Requirements

All applicants for admission to the EMBA program at the College of Business Administration are required to have the followings:

  1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 1.0/4.0 or 2.0/5.0.
  2. Applicants earned their Bachelor’s degrees from a country where English is not the official language must satisfy, at least, one of the following English proficiency tests (not older than three years from the admission date):

Al Yamamah University Scholarship Requirements

Sheikh Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Khudair Scholarship Program:

  1. Eligibility Criteria:
    • High school diploma from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or equivalent accredited authority.
    • Completion of language preparation program and a minimum of 30 academic credit hours with GPA of at least 3.30 out of 4.00.
    • Non-Saudi applicants must have legal residency status in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. Scholarship Duration:
    • 4 years (8 major semesters) for programs in Business Administration, Law, Computer Engineering, and Management Information Systems.
    • 5 years (10 major semesters) for programs in Architecture and Interior Architecture.
    • Excludes summer semesters.
  3. Application Process:
    • Application starts at the beginning of the second semester of every academic year.
    • Grant Committee examines applications and announces successful candidates at least one month before the start of the academic year.
  4. General Scholarship Conditions:
    • Combining two scholarships or transferring from one to another is not allowed.
    • Must not have acquired any other scholarship from another educational institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    • Must not have been suspended from any other educational institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    • Must comply with university rules, regulations, and ethical standards.
  5. Academic Requirements:
    • Number of registered hours per semester should not be less than 15 credit hours.
    • Must pledge to maintain the required GPA for scholarship continuation.
  6. Scholarship Continuation:
    • University reserves the right to withhold or cancel scholarships based on the decision of the Grant Committee.
    • Scholarships do not include cooperative training courses.
  7. Conditions for 40% Discount Scholarship:
    • Completion of a minimum of 30 academic credit hours.
    • GPA of at least 3.60 out of 4.00.
    • Must maintain GPA of 3.60 or above to continue the 40% discount scholarship.
  8. Conditions for 20% Discount Scholarship:
    • Completion of a minimum of a full academic year or 30 academic credit hours.
    • GPA of at least 3.30 out of 4.00.
    • Must maintain GPA of 3.30 or above to continue the 20% discount scholarship.

The Distinction Scholarship Program

  1. Categories and Discounts:
    • First Category: 50% Discount on tuition fees for students with a Compound Percentage of 90% or higher.
    • Second Category: 40% Discount on tuition fees for students with a Compound Percentage of 85% or higher.
    • Third Category: 30% Discount on tuition fees for students with a Compound Percentage of 80% or higher.
  2. Compound Percentage Calculation:
    • Compound Percentage = (30% x High School GPA) + (30% x General Aptitude Test) + (40% x Scholastic Achievement Test).
    • Minimum required Compound Percentage for eligibility is 80%.
  3. Requirements for Maintaining Scholarship:
    • To maintain the 50% scholarship, students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 out of 4.00 throughout their study period at YU.
    • To maintain the 40% scholarship, students must maintain a GPA of 3.50 out of 4.00 throughout their study period at YU.
    • To maintain the 30% scholarship, students must maintain a GPA of 3.30 out of 4.00 throughout their study period at YU.
