Al Fashir University
University is a public university, Sudanese curriculum, identity and administration, national in orientation, acceptance and establishment, and a member of the Sudanese, Arab and African Universities Union, and it has cooperation agreements with regional and international universities .
Its inception dates back to November 1975 , when former President Jaafar Muhammad Nimeiri issued Republican Decree No. (8) , which stipulated the establishment of the University of Darfur, but that dream was not realized until 1990 , when President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir issued Republican Decree No. ( 142) establishing a university in Darfur under the name “ University of Al-Fateh from September ” , and it was officially inaugurated in the city of El Fasher, the greater capital of Darfur at the time in February 1991 AD in buildings belonging to the company (Italian Rickey ) west of El Fasher Airport and south of El Fasher Secondary School previously, which was working in the construction of some internal roads in the state.
