The Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica is a university college that, as a public and self-governing institution, provides comprehensive education in accredited study programs in the “Art” field of study, including mainly an orientation to visual, musical, theater and film fields of contemporary art, and carries out its own artistic, scientific and publication activity.
It supports individual creativity and critical thinking in the intentions of cultural-economic development of humanitarian society.

Akadémia umení v Banskej Bystrici Admission
Applicants can apply to study at AU through electronic registration or by sending a completed application form ŠEVT. In the case of electronic registration, the fee associated with the admission procedure may be lower. The amount of the fee is determined by the rector’s directive valid for the academic year in which the accepted applicant is to start his studies.
Electronic application – the completed application must be printed, signed and sent to the relevant study department with the relevant attachments.
